What is Novashell?

Novashell is a high-level 2D game maker that tries to handle all the hard work behind the scenes allowing you to whip up sweet games using path finding, dialog, persistent dynamically sized maps with construction/deconstruction, save anywhere, and especially features that adventure and RPG type games would use. It's also built to allow easy sharing of games you make and modding of them. The underlying concept is everything is cut and pastable and can be added and removed even during play.

The worlds/games/mods it makes can be played under Windows, OS X, and Linux without changes.

Can create stand-alone games for Win and Mac, from either platform!

Or, just use Novashell's powerful map editor and the XML export option to use with your favorite game engine.

A mysterious golden letter is sent to a select number of people... Its contents are unknown.

Project Kat is a horror RPG about a high schooler who's dead set on trying a very dangerous game. Your goal is to uncover its secrets and make sure she comes out in one piece.

This is a story-based puzzle game where each puzzle has multiple solutions and outcomes!There is always another way.
The game is playable in about 45 minutes and there is only one ending but possible differences in the gameplay depending on your choices~

May contain some blood and unsettling scenes. Proceed at your own risk.
Just kidding it's really not that bad. But still it's a horror game :)

instructions to follow really helped out for beginners. I really liked the atmosphere of this game, the fonts used for characters and the type of speech they was talking in was incredible. It was very truly impressive in my opinion. Still can't help with the curiosity if other things could've happened, and the names of characters could've been implemented (instead of pretty girl, ponytail girl, etc) into the game. Very nice RPG indie horror if you ask me I would recommend this to others if they wanted to try it out. So when is there going to be another upload? I'd like to continue this game if possible.

This game is AMAZING. I'm surprised it's free. I would pay for this (doubt my parents would let me) It took me a long time to figure out the puzzles and some parts gave me the chills but its not that scary. I can't wait for the next part!

The game is very good.

The art looks great and the gameplay is simple. I also loved the suspense and where the story goes. Hopefully it gets finished so I can enjoy the full game.

This was really well made.

Even though this game had one ending there were choices and they were not meaningless. They actually led to new things.

I liked the main character. She had bad traits but not the to the point I would hate her. Characters like normally end up being anoying side characters but not in this game.

Tuorial was also good. When you first play it it teaches you the game and sets the tone to game. When play it for the second time you try to find another way to finish it and like that tutorial doesn't just become chore you do if you replay it.

I am looking forward to the full game.
